Most recent update: February 19, 2015.

The shipyard in Midland, on Georgian Bay, was started in 1910 by James Playfair, a shipbuilder from Scotland.  It had an uneven existence, was sold to Canada Steamship Lines in 1926 and finally closed in 1954.  See the site from the air on Google here.
