J. M. Martinac Shipbuilding Corp. is a family-owned business that has been building ships at the same location on the Thea Foss Waterway since 1924.  It built wooden yard tugs and minesweepers in WWII but switched from wood to steel in 1964.  Visit the shipyard at www.martinacship.com and see it from the air on Google here.
