Thoma-Sea Marine, Houma LA and Lockport LA

Thoma-Sea Boatbuilders was started by Walter Thomassie in 1993, as a small builder of tugs.  He increased both its capability and its capacity in 2001 by buying the Lockport shipyard formerly owned by Halter Marine, renaming it Thoma-Sea Shipbuilders.  He is now expanding the Houma Shipyard and has renamed the company Thoma-Sea Marine.  Visit the company at www.thoma-sea.com.  See the Lockport yard from the air on Google here and the Houma yard, which is on the east side of the Prospect Road bridge here.
