JK Welding, Brooklyn NY

Most recent update: November 28, 2013.

JK Welding Company was started by Jacob Klevens.  The original yard was on Paidge Avenue, in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, just east of the Pulaski Bridge.  He later added a second yard near the Brooklyn Navy Yard and a third, at 1 Federal Street, in Yonkers, which is now American Sugar Refining.  If anyone can provide any information about the ships these yards built, please e-mail it to me at timcolton@aol.com.
