American Shipbuilding Company - no connection with the AmShip yards on the Great Lakes - was organized by Henry Honeychurch Gorringe in 1883, failed in 1884 and was liquidated in 1885.  In its short life, it nevertheless turned out 16 vessels.  If anyone has any data to add to the table below, please send it to timcolton@aol.com.
