Devine Burtis, New York NY and Brooklyn NY

Most recent update: May 22, 2016.

Devine Burtis started his shipbuilding business in 1840 and closed it in 1905.  The yard was originally located in Manhattan but moved in the 1850s to a site at the foot of Conover Street, in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, where Pier 44 is today.  The table below is clearly incomplete: if anyone has any data to add to it, please send it to me at timcolton@aol.com
