WILLIAM H. RADCLIFFE

Cleveland OH

Most recent update: May 8, 2016.

William Radcliffe's yard built both schooners and steam ships, so it must have made the transition to modern shipbuilding, but I can find no other information about it.  It was sold to Globe Iron Works in 1890,  subsequently becoming part of AmShip Cleveland.  The yard was located at the foot of West 45th Street, in the area where there was a concentration of shipyards at that time.  If anyone can tell me more about Radcliffe's yard or add to the table below, please send your info to timcolton@aol.com
