JK WELDING

Brooklyn NY

Most recent update: November 28, 2013.

JK Welding Company was started by Jacob Klevens.  The original yard was on Paidge Avenue, in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, just east of the Pulaski Bridge.  He later added a second yard near the Brooklyn Navy Yard to build standard barges and a third, at 1 Federal Street, in Yonkers, which is now American Sugar Refining, to build tugs and other small ships.  If anyone can add any information to this table, please send it to timcolton@aol.com.
